“Couldn’t be better!”
I was in town for a conference at Asbury and the lodging at the university was full when I registered. It was a blessing in disguise because I had a most wonderful time at Homeplace! It was comfy bed, nice and quiet, great breakfast, great people, great location! This was my first time to stay at a B&B so I was a little unsure of what to expect, but this couldn’t have been better. Carol is a very warm and gracious host.”
My mother stayed here at the Homeplace during the time of my graduation at Asbury. Words cannot describe the incredible hospitality we were offered during the visit. Breakfast was like a miracle and the words we shared at the table were even more beautiful. Couldn’t thank these people enough for how great and hospitable they were, not to mention, the beauty of their home. It’s extravagant and wonderful. Well worth it all!
We were in town for only one night, but we got the most out of our stay at the Homeplace. Sitting on the front porch balcony we could see the moon rise, with a hot cup of tea. Same for the morning sunrise. Before our delicious breakfast of quiche and fresh fruit, I walked around the entire property, delighted in the gardens and explored the old barn. Carol was an eager conversationalist and we delved into many topics, including her husband Art’s line of work helping people discover how uniquely gifted and motivated they are.
Fantastic place all around! Relaxed as soon as we walked in. Art and Carol are warm, non-intrusive, great conversationalist and great company. The home is clean and welcoming without any pretense. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend and we plan a return visit!
Just spent 4 nights in this lovingly restored 19th century farmhouse. It honestly felt more like a visit with an old friend than a travel stop. Carol treated me like family and could not have been more gracious. Very peaceful location, delicious breakfasts and super convenient to Asbury University/Seminary. House is clean and bright and there was plenty of room to work. Highly recommend.
The Homeplace B&B is a delightful 1880 home filled with a welcoming atmosphere, fabulous breakfast and a lovely hostess. The quiet town of Wilmore provides a wonderful getaway, but the B&B provides serenity, friendship and great conversation with interesting hosts. The stairs are steep, but the bedrooms provide a wonderful personal space with a shared, but spacious bathroom. I highly recommend this B&B and would stay there again.
As soon as I stepped into this beautiful old house I was greeted by a wonderful couple, Carol and Art. My favorite part of my days were the early morning hours when Carol was in the kitchen stirring up apple dumplings or blueberry pancakes. One morning I even talked Art into playing his guitar as we all sang. I hope to stay with Carol and Art many more times in the future.
Art and Carol have a beautiful and peaceful place. Staying with them was like staying with a sweet aunt and uncle I’d never met but known all my life. They are such kind hosts, and have a wonderful home. If you want to experience all that is Wilmore, KY their home is the perfect basecamp. Breakfast was both healthy and delicious.
